Diesel burner: composition and operation process steps of the fuel control system

Diesel burner, also known as diesel burner, is an important device for injecting diesel fuel. It is mainly used in diesel kilns, diesel dryers, diesel rotary kiln equipment, kiln drying, and other functions.

1. Oil system: The fuel control system is divided into three parts: oil system, atomization air system, and combustion air system.

The oil pipeline system includes oil tanks, oil pumps, supply pipelines, return pipelines, ball valves, needle valves, solenoid valves, pressure gauges, and other parts. The oil pump adopts a gear pump, which is highly engaged. To reduce the failure rate, a filter should be installed at the oil inlet or outlet of the oil pipe to prevent foreign objects from damaging the oil pump. Clean the oil pipeline in advance to prevent blockage of the oil pump and burner. The oil supply pressure needs to be adjusted to the appropriate pressure in conjunction with the return pipe valve. The larger the opening amplitude of the return valve, the smaller the pressure, and vice versa. Adjust the pressure to 0.15-0.2MP to proceed to the next step of work. The system is equipped with temperature alarm instruments. When the temperature reaches the set value, the system automatically cuts off the solenoid valve and stops the oil pump. When it is necessary to reignite and raise the temperature, the oil pump and solenoid valve can be manually turned on.

1. Atomization air system:

The atomization air system includes an air compressor, pressure reducing device, pressure gauge, regulating valve, etc. Fuel burner is a special type of burner that uses fuel as fuel. Due to the liquid nature of the fuel, an atomization fan is required for effective atomization. To ensure sufficient combustion, each pipeline should meet the required pressure.

2. Combustion air system:

The combustion air system includes high-pressure centrifugal fan, manual butterfly valve and frequency conversion. In order to achieve better combustion results, the combustion air pressure and inlet air volume are adjusted by variable frequency adjustment of the fan speed. Control the combustion air volume entering the burner through a butterfly valve.

3、 Ignition conditions:

1. The appropriate oil pressure is 0.15-0.2Mpa

2. Atomizing air (air compressor) with a pressure of 0.2Mpa is recommended

3. Combustion air of about 10Kpa (adjusted according to the flame combustion situation)

4、 Ignition instructions:

1. Firstly, provide a small amount of combustion air, and then turn on the atomization fan.

2. Start the oil pump and slowly adjust the opening of the return valve to adjust the oil pressure to the required pressure range. Start the electronic ignition (or ignite the ignition torch) and slowly open the ball valve to ignite the fuel and adjust it to the appropriate flame size.

3. Detect the flame, and detect whether the flame is burning through the flame detector (also visually confirm by observing the fire hole).

4. Normal ceasefire: First turn off the oil, then turn off the wind.

5. Emergency ceasefire: cut off oil pipelines and then cut off power

5、 Ignition precautions:

1. Check whether the values of each pressure gauge meet the ignition requirements (stable values) to prevent excessive or insufficient oil pressure

2. Before ignition, there should be an open flame to support combustion (with a torch or automatic ignition nozzle)

3. The principle of "wind and other oil" is to prevent the unatomized fuel from flowing back into the burner chamber, causing danger.

6、 Operating steps for diesel burner (sequence cannot be changed):

1. Start the induced draft fan.

2. Start the combustion fan and sweep the chamber for 5-10 minutes

3. It is advisable to start the combustion fan (or vortex fan) with an opening of 1/4

4. Start the oil pump, with a pressure jump of 0.15-0.2Mp

5. Power the ignition controller, start the ignition, and the solenoid valve will automatically open.

6. After the ignition of the burner is successful and a signal is output, adjust the needle valve and ball valve to a suitable flame.          

7. Adjust the frequency of the combustion fan, change the air pressure, and then adjust the size of the fire.

8. During the combustion process, when the furnace temperature reaches the set value, the timer starts, and at the same time, the fan and oil pump automatically stop, and the burner extinguishes; After the scheduled time is over, the fan and oil pump will automatically run, the buzzer will sound to remind the staff, and the ignition knob on the ignition box will be manually operated to ignite.      

7、 Normal flameout operation:

1. Manually cut off the oil pipeline valve (or electrically controlled), and cut off the control power after the fire is completely extinguished.

2. When the furnace temperature drops by a certain value, the induced draft fan and combustion fan can be turned off to avoid damage to the combustion system caused by the residual temperature of the furnace.

8、 Emergency stop operation: First, quickly cut off the oil circuit, and then check the cause of the fault. If the circuit is normal, maintain the normal operation of the induced draft fan and combustion fan.

IX matters needing attention:

1. It is strictly prohibited to install the oil pump inlet/outlet in the opposite direction.

2. It is strictly prohibited for air to enter the gear pump in the oil pipeline. If air enters, it is prohibited to adjust the pressure. The fuel should be circulated through the return line until the air is discharged.

3. The oil pipeline should be purged and cleaned in advance to prevent dust from entering the oil pump and nozzle and causing malfunctions.

4. Different sealing materials are used according to the different fuels. For organic and corrosive fuels, hard sealing is used (such as spherical connections for screw threads).

5. The interface between needle valve and ball valve is sealed with hemp thread and asphalt paint.

10、 Emergency response procedures

1. After a leakage or abnormal situation accident occurs in oil tanks, pipelines, and valves, personnel or on-site personnel should immediately report it and take measures to prevent the accident from expanding. They should immediately call for help loudly, and report to the operators of the fuel heating furnace, pipelines, and valves, team leaders, workshop directors, or company supervisors.

2. After receiving the report, operators, management personnel, team leaders, workshop directors, or company leaders of facilities such as fuel burners, pipelines, and valves should immediately rush to the scene to participate in the rescue, organize technical personnel to carry out rescue, organize unrelated personnel to evacuate the scene to the designated location, set up warning lines, and ensure smooth passage. Rescue personnel should accurately and promptly call the 119 fire hotline based on the fuel leakage situation.

3. After troubleshooting oil tanks, pipelines, and valves, eliminating accident hazards, rescuing injured personnel, and eliminating equipment malfunctions, the commander shall announce the end of the emergency and unify the command to resume production.

11、 Emergency methods for leakage:

1. Eliminate all ignition sources in the fuel leakage area. Establish a warning zone based on the impact area of the gas, and evacuate unrelated personnel from crosswind and upwind to the * area. All equipment used during operation should be grounded and it is prohibited to come into contact or cross connect with leaks.

12、 Common faults:

1. Poor oil delivery:

Check whether the oil pump operates normally and whether the direction is correct.

Check if the oil tank filter is blocked.

Check if the fuel injection port of the burner is damaged or blocked.

2. Excessive pressure fluctuation:

If the return oil is not smooth, check the return oil pipeline.

There is a foreign object blocking the nozzle at the fuel injection port. Close the fuel circuit and check the fuel gun.

The pressure gauge is damaged, replace it.

3. Poor ignition:

The atomization effect is poor, check the ratio of fuel and atomization air.

Check if the atomization air pressure meets the requirements and adjust the regulator to the required pressure.

If the gap between the fuel injection nozzle and the oil core is too large, remove the oil gun and adjust the oil core to the * state (the oil quantity and atomization effect can be adjusted by the angle of the oil core).

4. Circuit fault:

Automatic ignition cannot start normally. Check if the ignition control system circuit is normal.

Unable to detect flame, detect UV probe or current, troubleshoot.

Frequent start and stop of the solenoid valve, check for normal combustion and damage to the controller.
